LuPone & Patinkin Reunite in 8 Philadelphia Concerts

Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin perform "An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin," a theatrical staged concert at the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia for 8 performances only from October 23-29.

This is LuPone and Patinkin's first time on stage together since their Tony Award winning performances in Evita!

The show is choreographed by Ann Reinking (Chicago, Fosse), and the musical director is Paul Ford, Patinkin's longtime collaborator. The costume designer is Ann Hould-Ward (Beauty and the Beast, Company, Sunday in the Park with George), the lighting designer is Eric Cornwell (Mamaloshen, Celebrating Sondheim), and the sound designer is Otts Munderloh (Dreamgirls, Jerome Robbins' Broadway).

Tickets for "An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin" are priced at $60 - $75.  Performances are Tuesday October 23 at 7PM, Wednesday October 24 at 7PM, Thursday October 25 and Friday October 26 at 8PM, Saturday October 27 at 2PM & 8PM, Sunday October 28 at 3PM, and Monday October 29 at 7PM. Patti LuPone most recently starred as Rose in a critically acclaimed revival of Gypsy, directed by Arthur Laurents at New York's City Center. She starred in City Center Encores!' Pal Joey and Can Can.  Her most recent NY stage appearances include the hit revival of Sweeney Todd, Passion for Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series, the NY Philharmonic's productions of Candide and Sweeney Todd, the Broadway productions of Noises Off, The Old Neighhorbood and Master Class, her own concerts "Matters of the Heart" (which she performed at the Prince Music Theatre in 2000), "Patti LuPone on Broadway" and three sold out concerts at Carnegie Hall.  Outside of New York, she made her debut with the LA Opera in a new production of Mahagonny and appeared in Jake Heggie's new opera To Hell and Back last season. Mady Patinkin made his 1980 Broadway debut, and won the Tony Award for his role as Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita and then was nominated in 1984 for his starring role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Sunday in the Park with George.  In 1991 he returned to Broadway in the Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden and in 1997 played a sold-out engagement of his one-man concert, "Mandy Patinkin in Concert." Other stage credits include The Wild Party, Falsettos, The Winter's Tale, The Knife, Leave It to Beaver is Dead, Rebel Women, Hamlet, Trelawney of the 'Wells', The Shadow Box, The Split, Savages, and Henry IV, Part I.  Feature film credits include The Choking Man, Pinero, Elmo In Grouchland, Men with Guns, The Princess Bride, Yentl, The Music of Chance, Daniel, Ragtime, Impromptu, The Doctor, Alien Nation, Dick Tracy, The House on Carroll Street, True Colors, Maxie, and Squanto: Indian Warrior.
