Summer at Hedgerow Theatre usually means it’s time for a Ray Cooney farce. The theatre, which is currently producing Yasmina Reza’s comedy, "Art" through June 17, will bring Cooney’s "Not Now, Darling" to its stage for a July 5 to Aug. 12 run.

“All I Ask of You,” a musical revue featuring tenor John Smitherman, will play June 22-24, and Ira Levin’s "Deathtrap" will set the tone as the days grow shorter from Aug. 23 to Sept.30.

“All I Ask of You” is a collection of love songs from Broadway and film, sung by some of the best voices in the Philadelphia area. The five singers are led by John Smitherman, one of the original Three American Tenors, who has performed all around the world. He’s joined by Sarah Lynn Dewey, Aileen Goldberg, Shoshana Katz and Damian Shembel. Their selections will include tunes from shows like The Music Man, My Fair Lady, Carousel, and Showboat, and films such as Casablanca and Gone With the Wind. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on June 22 and 23, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.
"Not Now, Darling," a 1968 hit in London that later became a movie, was co-written by Ray Cooney and John Chapman. They also teamed up on "There Goes the Bride," which was performed at Hedgerow in 2007. The 11th annual farce has all the delightful silliness for which Cooney is famous. It’s  set in an exclusive London fur salon, involving romantic complications, suspicious wives, mistaken identities and rapid-fire jokes.

Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays from July 5 to Aug.12. There will be Wednesday 2 p.m. matinees on July 18 and August 8.

"Deathtrap," Ira Levin’s comic thriller combines fiendishly clever plot twists with an equal mix of suspense and dark humor. The plot involves Sidney Bruhl, a once successful playwright who’s desperate for a hit after a series of flops. The Tony-nominated play ran for four years on Broadway. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays from Aug. 23 to Sept. 30. There is also a matinee on Wednesday, Sept.12.
Tickets are $20-$32 with discount for seniors, groups and students. For reservations, call610-565-4211, or visit www.hedgerowtheatre.org. Hedgerow Theatre is at 64 Rose Valley Road, Media.
