Bristol Riverside Theatre travels from Hollywood to Broadway in its Summer Musicale series featuring Keith Baker and the BRT Band in three programs of concerts ranging from songs of Hollywood to Broadway classics.

The season opens with Hooray for Hollywood: Music from the Silver Screen today, June 21 and runs through July 1. The glitz and glamour of Hollywood are reflected in Tinsel Town’s greatest musicals and movies, from the popular classic Mary Poppins to the energetic rhythms of Fame.

The summer program continues with Love Is Here To Stay: An Evening of Music by George Gershwin, a tribute to one of America’s most beloved song-writing teams on July 19-July 29. The music of George Gershwin spanned both popular and classical genres and his beautiful melodies are widely recognized. Paired with his lyricist brother, Ira, the Gershwins wrote some of the great love songs of the 1930s like Fascinating Rhythm, ’S Wonderful, A Foggy Day and But Not for Me.

The Summer Musicale series concludes with Runaway Broadway: All Your Broadway Favorites on August 16-August 26, an evening of classic Broadway hits with a special tribute to Jerry Herman and Stephen Sondheim. Herman is best known for shows like Hello Dolly, Mame, and La Cage Aux Follies. Sondheim is the winner of more Tony Awards than any other composer for such musicals as A Little Night Music and Sweeney Todd.

Bristol Riverside Theatre is located at 120 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, PA.

Subscriptions are $78 (an early bird price of $75 is available prior to April 30, 2012) and single tickets at $33 ($30 for subscribers) are available by calling the BRT Box Office at 215-785-0100 or visiting brtstage.org.
