HAIR - the Broadway musical live on stage, is at once both a joyous celebration of youth and a poignant journey through a tumultuous 1960s America! The celebration and journey comes to the State Theatre on Thursday, January 30th.

Tickets are $60 and $50 and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. This exuberant musical about a group of teenagers searching for truth, peace and love in a Vietnam War era America has struck a resonant chord with audiences of all ages. HAIR features an extraordinary cast, featuring a long list of chart topping hit songs, including "Aquarius," "Let the Sun Shine In," "Good Morning, Starshine" and "Easy To Be Hard." The themes and struggles in HAIR, although from another era, transcend generations and are vital and relevant to today's world.

With fresh and sensual choreography by Karole Armitage, HAIR is directed by Diane Paulus, who directed the 2012 Tony Award-winning production of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess. This inspiring new production of HAIR became a smash hit in Central Park, subsequently being moved, due to overwhelming hype and demand, to Broadway where it was awarded with a 2009 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival.

HAIR has had and continues to have a profound impact on audiences. The engaging audience experience all builds up to the joyous post-show celebration when the audience is invited to dance in the aisles and on stage with the performers to the anthem, "Let the Sun Shine In". See for yourself, let your hair down and share the love!
