GRIMM'S JUNIPER TREE to Premiere in Philadelphia, 1/29-2/8
Grimm's Juniper Tree by James Stover, based on the stories of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, will be directed by M. Craig Getting when it runs January 29th-February 8th, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 S. 21st Street, Philadelphia, Pa.
A boy punished by his wicked stepmother, a princess fleeing her wrathful husband, an imp spinning straw for a miller and his daughter: these characters and more await Hans and Greta as they wander the woods in search of a new home. Grimm's Juniper Tree examines the magic of choice in a black-and-white world of Good and Evil. The production will feature a custom sensory collaboration with the Random Tea Room incorporated into the story.
