Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) celebrates its 75th anniversary season on Saturday, May 3rd with a Gala evening benefit, featuring Tony Award-winning actress Betty Buckley in her Bucks County debut with a special concert under the musical direction of Christian Jacob.

"We are proud to welcome Betty Buckley, one of the most remarkable and legendary of Broadway's leading ladies. Betty has created some of the most indelible roles of our lifetime, and in a career that spans theater, film, television and concert halls around the world, she has proved again and again to be an actress and singer of extraordinary talent and range," said Alexander Fraser, Producing Director.

In addition to Ms. Buckley's concert, the evening will take place across the theater grounds underneath a riverside tent and in the courtyard. Guests will be treated to cocktails, dinner, a live auction by RAGO Auctioneers, followed by dessert and dancing; tickets range from $150 to $1,000. Among the items to be auctioned are vacation homes on Block Island, Fire Island and in New York City; a golf foursome at the private and exclusive Lookaway course; and a plethora of beautiful items generously donated by area merchants.

The gala is the major fundraiser for the Playhouse and all proceeds go towards fulfilling the theater's mission to present first class professional entertainment and regain the Playhouse's historic place in the national theatrical landscape. Tables are available starting at $5,000 and include seating for 6-10 guests, as well as an array of benefits for sponsors. The lead sponsors for this event are Cathryn and Richard Zega, Gregory Kammerer, Tonamora Foundation, and Delaware Investments.

"This event will be a beautiful time to gather and celebrate not only the original founders of the Playhouse but our current, expanding family of patrons and friends who have made the theater's rebirth a reality," said Robyn Goodman, Executive Producer. "I am also thrilled to work again with Betty, who starred in a play I produced in the 1980's directed by Marsha Mason, who will also be attending the Gala. It will be a joyous reunion."
