In the fifth season of the legal drama, Diane (Baranski) is forced to question whether it's appropriate for her to help run an African American law firm with Liz (McDonald) when the firm loses two top lawyers.

The 2017 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out last night to recipients in 19 categories, with three honorary awards also bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted by actor and comedian Taran Killam. On the next episode of THE GOOD FIGHT titled 'Chaos', Diane takes on a new client who is accused of cyber-terrorism, resulting in unforeseen repercussions for the firm, especially Lucca.

Earlier this week, the Broadway community came out to celebrate the release Speech & Debate, based on the critically acclaimed comedy by Tony Award winner Stephen Karam (The Humans). Directed by Dan Harris, the film stars Liam James, Sarah Steele, Austin P. McKenzie, Skylar Astin, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and cameos by Broadway's biggest stars including Lin-Manuel Miranda and an original song performed by Kristin Chenoweth. It will be opening in theaters on April 7, 2017 and is now available on iTunes.

CBS All Access, the CBS Television Network's digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, recently announced that its first original drama series, THE GOOD FIGHT, will premiere on Sunday, Feb.19.

Manhattan Theatre Club's New York premiere co-production of The Country House, the new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, will begin previews Tuesday, September 9 and open Thursday, October 2 at MTC's Samuel J. FriedmanTheatre (261 West 47th Street). The Country House is produced in association with the Geffen Playhouse. Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced nominations this morning for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Eva Mendes and Jeremy Renner served as presenters and 2011 Spirit Awards host Joel McHale was also on hand. Nominees for Best Feature include 127 Hours, Black Swan, Greenberg, The Kids Are All Right and Winter's Bone.
