Written by Elice and directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher officially began performances at New World Stages (340 West 50th St.) on Monday, March 18, 2013, after ending its triumphant run on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 20, 2013.When the cast heard that the Coney Island Mermaid Parade is currently trying to raise funds through a Kickstarter campaign, they made a video to show support for the cause. BWW TV: In the Rehearsal Room with PETER AND THE STARCATCHER's New Off-Broadway Cast!

Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time TonyAward-winning play, will begin performances on Monday, March 18, 2013 at New World Stages. The cast includes returning Broadway cast members Rick Holmes, now playing Black Stache, Jason Ralph, now playing Boy, along with Kevin Del Aguila as Smee, Matt D'Amico as Slank, and Evan Harrington as Alf, all reprising their roles. They are joined by Nicole Lowrance (Molly), Edward Baker-Duly(Lord Aster), Josh Grisetti (Fighting Prawn), Alex Hernandez (Captain Scott), Nate Miller (Ted), Andrew Mueller (Prentiss), Jon Patrick Walker (Mrs. Bumbrake),Jordan Geiger, Joanna Howard, and Graham Stevens. The new cast met the press eariler this week and BroadwayWorld was there to join them in the rehearsal room. Check out what they had to say about the big move to off-Broadway below!

Both Michael Crawford and Danielle Hope will both depart the West End production of THE WIZARD OF OZ on February 5, 2012. Both have been with the show since the beginning, and audiences had been following the yellow brick road over the rainbow to see Crawford (as the Wizard) and Danielle Hope (as Dorothy), winner of BBC TV's Over the Rainbow, at The London Palladium. But before they leave, the cast celebrated Crawford's 70th birthday at a recent curtain call.

Joining Danielle Hope (BBC TV's Over the Rainbow winner) in the cast are Michael Crawford (Professor Marvel/The Wizard of Oz), Edward Baker-Duly (Hickory/Tin Man), David Ganly (Zeke/Cowardly Lion), Paul Keating (Hunk/Scarecrow), Emily Tierney (Glinda), and Hannah Waddingham (Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West) will be joined by: Sophie Evans (Alternate Dorothy), Stephen Scott (Uncle Henry/Ensemble, first cover Professor Marvel/The Wizard of Oz), and Helen Walsh (Aunt Em/Munchkin Barrister/Ensemble).
