The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theater Company, concludes their 25th anniversary season with the New York Premiere of MJ Kaufman's Sagittarius Ponderosa. Ken Rus Schmoll directs an all-Asian American cast that includes Daniel K. Isaac (of TV's 'Billions'), Mia Katigbak, Glenn Kubota, Bex Kwan and Virginia Wing. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at 3LD (80 Greenwich Street at Rector) will continue through November 19th only. (more...)

On Monday, September 26, 2016, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago was honored to welcome Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and original star ofHamilton: An American Musical, to its West Loop facility, the Hubbard Street Dance Center, located at 1147 West Jackson Boulevard. More than 160 invited guests included students and families participating in Hubbard Street's Youth Dance Programs; members of Hubbard Street's Junior Ensemble, Hubbard Street 2 and the artists of its world-renowned main company; staff members and special guests; individual and foundation supporters of its Education Programs; and Season 38 Spotlight Ball attendees who made donations at the organization's annual gala.  Irvington Town Hall Theater (ITHT) closes out a second season of their Stage Door Series, ( where new works are presented in a relaxed setting without sets, costumes, or props) with an afternoon of one-act plays. Three different one-acts by two diverse local playwrights will be read on Sunday, April 24 at 3:00pm. Two plays by Evelyn Mertens: Stray Gloves and Sleep Study and one by Stephanie Okun: Fishing. Pipeline Theatre Company has announced the addition of Natalie Gershtein, Producing Director, to their leadership team. Gershtein joins Ari Schrier, who has served as the company's Artistic Director since 2012. In this newly created position, Gershtein will work collaboratively with Schrier to oversee the company's strategic and artistic growth, which includes the presentation of the New York premiere of Jason Craig and Dave Malloy's BEARDO in the 2016-2017 season.
