MIES JULIE Makes American Premiere at St. Ann's Warehouse, 11/8-12/2

Mies Julie was the hands-down, must-see hit and Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award-winner at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Building upon a rich history of importing standout Edinburgh productions and major international companies to America in recent years, St. Ann's Warehouse (Artistic Director, Susan Feldman; Executive Director, Andrew D. Hamingson) will present this American Premiere (and the Baxter Theatre Centre's American debut), which adapts the August Strindberg classic to post-apartheid South Africa. Performances will take place November 8 - December 2, marking the official opening of the new St. Ann's Warehouse at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

P.S. JONES AND THE FROZEN CITY Receives NYC Debut

TerraNOVA Collective, celebrating their 10th season, has completed casting for the World Premiere of P.S. Jones and The Frozen City, a comic book superhero adventure story written by Robert Askins and directed by José Zayas. P.S. Jones and The Frozen City runs from December 3 - 23, 2012 in a limited engagement at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Previews begin December 3 for a December 10 opening.

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with American Repertory Theater, presents the world premiere of Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Marie Antoinette will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) October 26 through November 17. Opening Night is Thursday, November 1. The cast includes Fred Arsenault, Hannah Cabell, David Greenspan, Marin Ireland, Vin Knight, Jo Lampert, Polly Lee, Steven Rattazzi, Jake Silbermann, Teale Sperling, Brian Wiles, and Ashton Woerz.

The Wooster Group Presents HAMLET at The Performing Garage, Now thru 11/11

The Wooster Group will present nightly performances of HAMLET at The Performing Garage during a three-week video shoot of the production. Public showings of the live performance begin the evening of tonight, October 24th and run through Sunday, November 11th, 2012.

The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, and the Abrons Arts Center, present the American premiere of Love's End, from writer and director Pascal Rambert, as part of the 2012 Crossing the Line festival. This unraveling of a broken relationship features Kate Moran, currently a featured performer in Einstein on the Beach, and Obie Award-winner Jim Fletcher, best known for his work in Elevator Repair Service's Gatz and Richard Maxwell's New York City Players.

Segal Theatre Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY has unveiled the artist lineup and program schedule for the highly anticipated PRELUDE.12, the ninth annual PRELUDE festival dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theatre, dance, interdisciplinary and mediatized performance. In its largest lineup ever, PRELUDE.12 will present over 40 short performances, readings, and screenings -as well as panel discussions with artists, scholars and performers.
