On September 7, 2013 for two benefit performances, HERO Theatre presents "The Classic Film Project." "The Classic Film Project" consists of scenes inspired by classic films. They will be presented live and written by Quiara Alegria Hudes (Pulitzer winning "Water By the Spoonful" and "In the Heights"), film/TV director and writer Larry Charles (Borat, Bruno, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Colman Domingo (Public Theater's "Wild With Happy"), Susan Blackburn Award-Winner Jennifer Haley, Luis Alfaro, Ricardo A. Bracho, Juri Henley-Cohn, Francesco DeSantis, Tamar Halpern, Danny Hoch, Carmen Rivera, Ethan Sandler, Candido Tirado and Annie Weisman. Directors include Michael-John Garces, Yetta Gottesman, Diane Rodriguez and Tina Sanchez. The scenes will be performed by members of HERO Theatre's acting ensemble alongside special guest artists.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the Broadway cast of The Winslow Boy, starring Tony nominee Michael Cumpsty as 'Desmond Curry', Academy & Tony Award nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as 'Grace Winslow', Alessandro Nivola as 'Sir Robert Morton' and Tony Award winner Roger Rees as 'Arthur Winslow'.

Atlantic Theater Company has just announced that Robert Beitzel, Halley Feiffer, Susan Pourfar and Tony Award nominee Deborah Rush will star in the world premiere production of Academy Award winner Ethan Coen's first full length play WOMEN OR NOTHING, staged by acclaimed director David Cromer.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today the full cast and creative team for the last production of the 2013 season: Blood Play, the smash hit by The Debate Society will be presented on the Nikos Stage from August 7 - 18, 2013 (opening Thursday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m.).

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Bernard Slade's Same Time, Next Year at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge, Opening Night tonight, July 25 at 8pm. Previews began July 23 at 8pm and the show will close on August 10 at 8pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

SOMETHING SUDDEN 5WEPT 0V3R ME, a new play written by Steven Mark Tenney and directed & choreographed by Susan Tenney, has been nominated for seven 2013 Planet Connections Theatre Awards. The awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, August 4th with red carpet arrivals starting at 6pm and curtain at 7pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater (405 West 55th Street) in Manhattan.

Berkshire Playwrights Lab will present a staged reading of Richard Dresser's The Handyman, directed by Joe Cacaci, on Wednesday, August 7 at 7:30pm at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center (14 Castle Street, Great Barrington, Mass.). The cast will include Wendie Malick, currently co-starring in TV Land's Hot in Cleveland, Berkshire Playwrights Lab Co-Artistic Director Jim Frangione, and two other actors TBA. There is no charge for admission, however, Berkshire Playwrights Lab suggests a $10.00 donation to help offset its programming costs. Wasps will run from July 24th through July 28th at the Connelly Theater. July 24th- 26th performances are at 8pm, July 27th at 5pm and 9pm, and July 28th at 2pm. Greek mythology meets burlesque, puppetry and a modern Americana score in ICARUS, the latest original theatrical presentation from acclaimed Boston-based ensemble Liars & Believers. Creators of last year's gritty NYMF hit Le Cabaret Grimm, Liars & Believers will present ICARUS as part of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop) has announced that Vanessa Aspillaga, Mia Barron, Robin De Jesus, Jeff Goldblum, Lizbeth Mackay, Emily Meade, Mary Beth Peil, Karen Pittman and Misha Seo will join Laurie Metcalf in the cast of DOMESTICATED, a new play by Bruce Norris, to be directed by Anna D. Shapiro, which will begin previews Thursday, October 10 at 8pm at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Monday, November 4 at 6:45pm. Additional casting for DOMESTICATED will be announced at a later date.
