Tom Jones, the lyricist and book writer of The Fantasticks, will play his final performances as Henry (The Old Actor) in The Fantasticks, the world's longest-running musical, this Sunday, June 6 at 3pm and 7:15pm. Jones first played the role in 1960 when The Fantasticks premiered at The Sullivan Street Playhouse.

The Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) is proud to announce casting for its production of Peter Pan. Directed by Mark S. Hoebee with choreography by Patti Colombo, Peter Pan will run at the Millburn Theater from June 2 through June 27, 2010. The production will open for the press on June 6. Peter Pan is generously supported by a gift from Allen and Joan Bildner and supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Productions will include Nunsense starring Sally Struthers, The Marvelous Wonderettes, The Will Rogers Follies, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Peter Pan, Mr. Hobbs' Vacation, and Mame. The season will begin with Nunsense, opening June 3rd.

Lyric Theatre will open its 2010 Lyric at the Civic Center Season with the Tony Award Best Musical nominee Pump Boys and Dinettes on June 22 through 26 at the Civic Center Music Hall in downtown Oklahoma City.

This week, we are highlighting the unparalleled career of legendary director/choreographer Michael Bennett with a newly unearthed clip of the original Broadway cast of A JOYFUL NOISE performing Bennett's choreography on the Ed Sullivan Show, as well as a near-three-hour interview with his associates that was recorded last week as part of a benefit for Dancers Over 40 also titled A JOYFUL NOISE. There's certainly a lot to love and embrace here in this crash-course in Bennett for the uninitiated among us.

Peter Glebo Gallery is pleased to present Longnecks, an exhibition of large-scale, acrylic-on-canvas portraits of giraffes by Broadway legend Tommy Tune. Opening on Thursday, June 3 and running through Sunday, August 29, the exhibition will serve as the new Chelsea gallery's inaugural exhibition. Casting for the 60th Music Circus season is nearing completion. After auditioning performers in New York, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale is finalizing the acting company for the seven-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. Theatre By The Sea's Producing Artistic Director, Amiee Turner, will make her Theatre By The Sea debut in the role of Cassie in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award® winning musical, A Chorus Line, scheduled to open the summer season on June 2, 2010.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, Sutton Foster, and Ari Graynor will co-star in the world premiere comedy TRUST, written by Paul Weitz, directed by Peter DuBois. Mr. Weitz returns to Second Stage Theatre, where his plays Privilege and Show People premiered in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Directed by Peter DuBois, who staged Second Stage's acclaimed production of Becky Shaw, TRUST will begin previews on Friday, July 23 at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) and officially open on Thursday, August 12. The production runs through September 5.

The hit revival is Ashley's 8th Broadway show, but her first since she became a mom.

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher announced full casting for the Fort Lauderdale engagement of MARY POPPINS. Fort Lauderdale's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, June 9th for a limited engagement of 3 weeks through Sunday, June 27th. The opening night is Friday, June 11 at 8:00pm.

What do Fiona of SHREK, Inga of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, Jo March of LITTLE WOMEN, Janet Van De Graaff of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and Millie Dillmount of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE all have in common? They were all played by the award-winning Broadway ingénue, Sutton Foster. And on Saturday, May 29th East End audiences will be able to hear her live on the Bay Street stage at 8pm.
