Dallas Theater Center presents Tigers Be Still in the Studio Theatre at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center March 2 - May 13, 2012. Hal Brooks returns to DTC to direct the play, which stars DTC Brierley Resident Acting Company members Abbey Siegworth and Chamblee Ferguson.
Cast Set for Broadway's THE LYONS

Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS -- a critical and popular success when it debuted last fall at Vineyard Theatre -- will transfer to Broadway's Cort Theatre (138 W. 48 St.) with its entire original cast expected to be inteact, including the Tony Award-winning stars Linda Lavin and Dick Latessa, along with Kate Jennings Grant, Brenda Pressley and Gregory Wooddell. Michael Esper is in negotionations to return as well. The Vineyard Theatre production of THE LYONS will be presented on Broadway by producer Kathleen K. Johnson. Mark Brokaw directs.

On Monday, February 20, 2012, Mike Daisey announced that his smash hit monologue The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs (TAESJ) would be made available to the public as an "open-source, royalty-free" work, downloadable from his website and available to be adapted and performed by "anyone, anytime, anywhere." Five days following the announcement, A Red Orchid Theatre is proud to announce the Chicago Premiere of Daisey's piece in a one-night-only benefit performance featuring AROT Ensemble Member Lance Baker on Monday, March 5th, 2012 at 8:00PM.

Outside the March, the creative force behind last year's Mr. Marmalade, is teaming up with Dora Award-winning performer David Ferry and Theatre Passe Muraille to present the Canadian Premiere of Mike Daisey's The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs. The production will premiere in Toronto in May 2012, directed by OtM Co-Artistic Director Mitchell Cushman.

The Flea Theater will bring back its highly-anticipated free dance festival, Dance Conversations, this spring. Dance Conversations 2012 will run March 14 - 25 showcasing a series of films and works-in-progress by 36 emerging and established choreographers, dance companies, and filmmakers. Signature Theatre just announced that the company will produce the world premiere of Kenneth Lonergan's new play MEDIEVAL PLAY, which Lonergan will also direct. The production runs May 15 - June 24, 2012 with a June 7 opening night in The End Stage Theatre at the Company's new Frank Gehry-designed home The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The Public Theater Shifts THE TOTAL BENT Performances to Begin 2/24

The Public Theater announced new February dates today for THE TOTAL BENT by Stew and Heidi Rodewald and directed by Joanna Settle. The shift in dates for this Public Lab production is due to an unforeseen construction-related delay that prevented the show from getting into the theater on the scheduled start date. The Public Theater's building renovation has been underway since fall 2008 and is expected to be completed on time this summer.

The Denver Center Theatre Company (DCTC) today announced of the lineup of playwrights and directors for its Seventh Annual Colorado New Play Summit. Over three days, February 10 -12, 2012 in downtown Denver, DCTC will present multiple showings of four play readings, a multimedia workshop and two fully-produced main stage plays, including new works by Pulitzer nominee Lisa Loomer, 2011 Obie winner Samuel D. Hunter, and direction by Broadway veterans Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) and Sam Buntrock (Sunday in the Park with George).
