Chamber Music Northwest (CMNW) has announced its 53rd consecutive annual summer festival spanning the Portland metro region for five weeks from June 24 to July 29. Themed Poetry in Music, Artistic Directors Gloria Chien and Soovin Kim have created a festival celebrating the confluence of these art forms, with artists and repertoire carefully curated with an eye toward the poetry in chamber music.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has announced its 2023-24 season, which celebrates the passing of the artistic torch and the theme of Legacy, with the final farewell concerts of two esteemed American string quartets, both with long histories at CMS.

The 2022-23 season of Musica Sacra, New York's elite professional chorus led by Music Director Kent Tritle, brings music by women composers to the fore in two programs at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine of repertoire spanning five centuries.

Two world premieres – A Nation of Others, a new oratorio for six soloists, chorus and orchestra by Paul Moravec and Mark Campbell with the Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall that brings to life one day of immigrants’ arrival at Ellis Island in 1921 (November 15, 2022); and a setting of the Stabat Mater for organ, soloists, chorus, and orchestra by David Briggs at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (March 8, 2023) – are highlights of the 2022-23 season of Kent Tritle.

The Colorado Music Festival (CMF) opens the 2022 season in Boulder, Colorado at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium on June 30, offering 22 concerts this summer and running through August 7, under the leadership of Music Director Peter Oundjian. John Adams is this summer's Composer-in-Residence, and the Takács Quartet are Artists-in-Residence.

Kenneth Fuchs's Point of Tranquility (Sat.  Mar. 19 & Sun. Mar. 20), inspired by abstract expressionism; Russell Platt's Symphony in Three  Movements (For Clyfford Still), (Sat. Apr. 23 & Sun. Apr. 24), a musical interpretation of abstract  impressionist works by Still that hang in Buffalo's Albright-Knox Art Gallery; and Wang Jie's The Winter  that United Us (Sat. June 11).

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine's Great Music in a Great Space concert series continues with Musica Sacra: Te Deum Laudamus: Centennial & World Premiere on Tuesday, March 22 at 7:30pm, at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street).

Musica Sacra, Kent Tritle, Music Director, performs in three concerts this spring whose variety is emblematic of its identity as New York’s elite professional chorus.

Having planned a full, pre-pandemic-scale season for 2021-22, Kent Tritle, who is Director of Cathedral Music and Organist at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Music Director of both the Oratorio Society of New York and Musica Sacra, and Director of Choral Activities at the Manhattan School of Music, led or performed in a dozen concerts in the season’s first half, with only one event being canceled.

Kent’s spring concert schedule has undergone a few shuffles, but is going ahead largely as planned, featuring Mendelssohn’s Elijah with the Oratorio Society of New York and soloists Susanna Phillips, Lucia Bradford, Isaiah Bell, and Justin Austin at Carnegie Hall (May 9) and more.

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, located at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), presents the revised eleventh season of Great Music in a Great Space under the direction of Kent Tritle, Director of Cathedral Music and Organist. With choral and organ performances ranging from J.S. Bach to the 13th-century female-voiced Cantigas de Amigo, the remainder of the season provides a culturally diverse offering inside the Cathedral's gothic interior.

The Colorado Music Festival in Boulder, Colorado, under the leadership of Music Director Peter Oundjian, returns to Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder this summer for 22 concerts between June 30 and August 7. 

The Orlando Philharmonic will present Gershwin’s Concerto in F as part of its Classics Series at Calvary Orlando on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Music Director Eric Jacobsen will lead the Philharmonic musicians as well as guest vocalists through an emotional and expressive night of music.
