Auditions Announced for 10 Year Anniversary of LA's NEXT GREAT STAGE STAR, 12/13

Executive Producers Michael Sterling of Michael Sterling Publicity and Production (www.msapr.net). and Barbara Van Orden (www.barbaravanorden.com) have announced that vocal auditions for the 10 year Anniversary of LA's Next Great Stage Star® will be held Sunday, December 13, 2015.  'Our annual auditions in search of 10 men and 10 women between 18 and 32 years of age, is highly anticipated by the hierarchy of those associated with the business of presenting Broadway musical theatre in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California said Sterling.  'We couldn't be more grateful to our professional colleagues and select corporate entities for their consistent support of Stage Star since its inception,' added Van Orden 

Stephen Schwartz to Lead 2016 ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop at The Wallis This Winter; Submissions Open!

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces a new partnership with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and DreamWorks Studios to present the highly successful annual program, The ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Workshop. Now in its 23rd year under the leadership of Artistic Director Stephen Schwartz, the workshop -- giving selected composers and lyricists the opportunity to present selections from original musical works in progress for professional critique -- will take place at The Wallis in Beverly Hills from Feb. 16-18, 2016, with submissions now being accepted. The application deadline is Dec. 16, 2015. 

John Rivers Hosts & Cooks with Emeril for 'Publix Chefs' at Dr. Phillips Center Tonight

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts today announced that John Rivers, 4R Restaurant Group Chef and Owner will host the live performance of Emeril, part of the Publix Chefs at Dr. Phillips Center series. The first show in the series stars Emeril at 8 p.m. tonight, December 1 and will feature live Q&A, a cooking demonstration and book signings of his latest book, Essential Emeril.
