The organizers of the 16th edition of the Oscar®-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival announced today the festival will host a special Drive-In Celebration on Monday, November 16, 2020.

In this horror satire set in 1989, BAD HAIR follows an ambitious young woman (Elle Lorraine) who gets a weave in order to succeed in the image-obsessed world of music television. However, her flourishing career comes at a great cost when she realizes that her new hair may have a mind of its own. 

Hulu has announced that its original film BAD HAIR will premiere Friday, October 23rd. The streamer has also shared the first teaser for the film.

Today, the National Civil Rights Museum announced recipients of The Freedom Award, the museum's signature event that honors outstanding individuals for their significant contributions to civil and human rights. This year's honorees are Benjamin Crump, civil rights attorney; Tawakkol Karman, Yemeni human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate; The Honorable Damon Jerome Keith, longest serving judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Court; Soledad O'Brien, journalist and executive producer; and Bryan Stevenson, attorney and social justice activist.

For the first time ever, The ESPYS will honor three retiring athletes with its prestigious Icon Award. Justin Timberlake will do a special presentation to honor Kobe Bryant, Peyton Manning and Abby Wambach.

On July 13, some of the world's premier athletes and biggest stars will join host John Cena on stage for “The 2016 ESPYS Presented by Capital One.”
