Everyman Theater is proud to present Michael Weller's FIFTY WORDS, a suspenseful, nightlong roller-coaster ride displaying the perils of matrimony. Fear ignites, hope defers, and passion is found again - all in the name of intimacy. FIFTY WORDS will run through Feb. 19.

Celebration Theatre announced today a special benefit performance of the second show of its 2011-2012 Season, Leslie Jordan starring in the World Premiere of FRUIT FLY, written and performed by Leslie Jordan and directed by David Galligan.

Dory Previn Shannon died on Tuesday morning, February 14, at her home in Massachusetts, according to her husband, artist Joby Baker. She was 86 years old.

Stephen Wadsworth's new production of Terrence McNally's Master Class starring Tyne Daly as the legendary opera soprano Maria Callas IS at the Vaudeville Theatre following its critically acclaimed, sell-out run on Broadway. Joining Daly are Gerard Carey (Stagehand), Jeremy Cohen (Emmanuel Weinstock), Naomi O'Connell (Sharon Graham), Dianne Pilkington (Sophie De Palma) and Garrett Sorenson (Anthony Candolino).

Cherry Lane Theatre's award-winning MENTOR PROJECT will begin its 13th season on February 21 with a production of Elizabeth Rose's RELATIVE PITCH, the first of four new works in 2012 MENTOR PROJECT running February 21 to April 14 at Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce Street in Manhattan).

Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, an intimate collection of stories covering some of life's most poignant moments and their corresponding wardrobe, will appear at Detroit's historic Gem Theatre February 8 - March 4.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that the long-running Off Broadway favorite Love, Loss, and What I Wore will close on Sunday, March 25, 2012 after playing for two and a half years and 1,013 performances. (March 15th marks the show's landmark 1,000 performance.)

Variety reports today that the upcoming revival of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE will open April 22, with previews beginning April 3. The show, which has been hunting for a theatre since this past summer, will take Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (which had been booked by the delayed revival of REBECCA).
