Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Billy Crudup will be returning to Broadway in Arcadia, a show in which he made his Broadway debut back in 1995. The show is set to launch in February.

Patti LuPone's eponymous new memoir, on sale tomorrow, September 15, is a revealing look at her career, bookended by two performances: her first production of Gypsy in junior high school and her award-sweeping turn as Rose in the same show in 2008. The audiobook edition, narrated by LuPone herself, is a particularly intimate version of her story, as told in her own words. From October 14 through October 16, Tony award winner Frances Ruffelle (Les Miserables) will star in Songs From A Hotel Bedroom by Kate Flatt and Peter Rowe at Watford Palace Theatre. UK's The Stage reports that WICKED's Kerry Ellis, currently starring in the West End's OLIVER!, joins Queen's guitarist Brian May, soprano Kiri Te Kanawa, and tenor José Carreras for the final BBC Proms in the Park concert of the season, to be held September 11 in Hyde Park. The concert will be broadcast on Radio 2. The concert will end with a live video exchange with 'Last Night of the Proms' at the Royal Albert Hall.

Robert Foxworth plays King Lear and Bruce Turk the Fool in Shakespeare's tragedy, directed by Festival Artistic Director Adrian Noble. The crowns are swapped in Alan Bennett's The Madness of George III, also helmed by Noble, where Miles Anderson will play King George III and Foxworth will play Dr. Willis. The Festival also includes Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew directed by Ron Daniels with Jonno Roberts and Emily Swallow as the two sparring lovers.

On August 29, Aaron Lazar will play his last performance as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. Lazar's previous credits include LES MISERABLES, A TALE OF TWO CITIES, and THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA.

According to a report in the New York Times' Arts Beat, Trevor Nunn, former director of Britain's National Theater, has been named a visiting professor for St. Catherine's College at Oxford. Nunn, whose work on productions like Cats and the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music will become the Cameron Mackintosh Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theater.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Bradley Dean (Spamalot, Company, The Story of My Life, Man of La Mancha) will replace Aaron Lazar as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC on August 31, 2010. Dean has understudied Lazar throughout the production in addition to playing the role of servant Frid. Lazar will play his last performance on August 29. Stephen R. Buntrock, who has played Mr. Lindquist since the show's opening will step into the role of Frid, while Ben Davis will join the company as the new Mr. Lindquist.
