The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. The production, directed by Robert Richmond (Othello and Henry VIII at the Folger), stars Zach Appelman (War Horse on Broadway) in his Folger Theatre debut as Henry V, and will run from January 22 - March 3, 2013.

On Thursday, December 13, the 199 seat proscenium theater on the fourth floor of the Snapple Theater Center was named in honor of Broadway, off-Broadway and film producer, Anne L. Bernstein. Scroll below for photos from the dedication ceremony.

Earlier this week, Transport Group presented GIMME A BREAK! an evening of performances honoring Christian Borle, Sue Frost, and Paul Huntley at it's benefit gala at the Asia Society and Museum, 725 Park Avenue. The GIMME A BREAK! performance featured Broadway stars sharing their 'big break' moments in story and song.

Transport Group has announced that, Jenn Colella, Tyne Daly, Montego Glover, Ann Harada, Elizabeth Stanley, and Sally Wilfert will perform at its gala benefit GIMME A BREAK! honoring Christian Borle, Sue Frost, and Paul Huntley tonight, December 10, 2012 at the Asia Society and Museum, 725 Park Avenue. The evening will be hosted by Julie Halston and will feature a special performance by the cast of the Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher.

Today we are talking again to one of Broadway's recent rising stars all about his sensational sophomore solo album, STILL DREAMING OF PARADISE, as well as his role in this weekend's invitation-only reading of the new musical AMAZING GRACE - 2011-2012 season standout and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Tony Award nominee Josh Young. Espousing on the many elements that converged to make his solo album a reality, Young outlines his process with his close collaborators by discussing the imperative inspirations, subsequent arrangement experimentation, actual studio recording, scientific song selection process, major project goals and a lot more, as well as shares memories of what many of the album's tracks mean to him on a personal level and what we can expect from albums from him in the future, near and far. Casting is complete for the world premiere of Amandine, the new musical from writer Winter Miller, 13P founding member who penned In Darfur (The Public Theater), among other acclaimed plays; Emmy Award-winning composer Lance Horne, who is known for his own work and collaborations with Alan Cumming, Amanda Palmer, Meow Meow, Sandra Bernhard and Justin Vivian Bond; and Drama Desk Award-winning director Josh Hecht (Christine Jorgensen Reveals). The production will run January 9-26, 2013 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) main stage. Critics are welcome as of January 13 for an official opening on January 16.

iLuminate Productions today announced tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of iLuminate's: Artist of Light, a live show in New York City at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project on West 42nd Street. iLuminate wowed the nation with their groundbreaking light suits on America's Got Talent and then hit the road, performing for awestruck crowds around the globe. Now, they take you on a fantastical journey in their first off-Broadway show. The limited run engagement commences November 23, 2012 and runs through January 5, 2013.

Barneys New York and the Walt Disney Company launched the project of Events 2012 Holiday Electric in Barneys flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York.

Elizabeth Stanley, who received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Gussie Carnegie in the 2012 Encores! revival of Merrily We Roll Along, will make her New York cabaret debut at the new Broadway nightclub 54 Below, this Sunday November 18th at 9pm.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the new performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond, including Tony winners Len Cariou and Leslie Uggams, jazz brunch with jazz legend Barbara Carroll, singer/songwriter Samia Najimy Finnerty and Broadway star Elizabeth Stanley.
