Having conquered Broadway with a string of acclaimed roles - from Gypsy to White Christmas to On the Town - triple-threat Tony Yazbeck sets his sights on reinventing the solo album with his new studio recording, The Floor Above Me, adapted and expanded from his one-man show. The album will be released by PS Classics on August 11.

This year's 10th Anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards (#bwaybackwards), which was held last night at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), featured some of the most memorable numbers from previous years. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefitting BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York, the event was hosted by Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure and Julie Halston. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Julie Halston will be taking on Jackie Hoffman's roles in Broadway's On The Town this week, beginning Thursday, March 12.

This year's 10th Anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards (#bwaybackwards) will feature some of the most memorable numbers from previous years and will be held at 8 pm tonight, March 9, 2015, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). The evening is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York. Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure will share hosting duties with Julie Halston from the current hit revival of You Can't Take It With You.

An extremely limited number of tickets remain available for Monday's 10th anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards, the annual celebration where gays and lesbians experience their stories as told through the great songs of musical theatre and performed by their favorite Broadway stars.

Roundabout Theatre Company presented its annual 2015 Spring Gala 'There is Nothing Like a Dame' last night, March 2, 2015 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria (301 Park Avenue, NYC). The evening was a celebration of Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe winner Helen Mirren, who was presented with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre. The tribute featured appearances by Jennifer Garner & Alessandro Nivola and performances by Laura Benanti,Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Santino Fontana, Victor Garber, Donna Murphy, Kelli O'Hara, Alessandro Nivola,Laura Osnes and Betsy Wolfe.

New York City Ballet principal dancer Tiler Peck will step into the role of 'Ivy Smith' in the new Broadway revival of On The Town this March for six performances only, while her fellow New York City Ballet principal dancer, and sister-in law, Megan Fairchild is on vacation. Peck will play the role at the following performances: March 3rd at 7pm, March 4th at 2pm and 8pm, March 14th at 2pm and 8pm, and March 15th at 3pm.

The new Broadway revival of On The Town was recorded in November 2014 for a two-disc cast album to be released by PS Classics. On The Town, which features a book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, music by Leonard Bernstein, and is based on an idea by Jerome Robbins, is currently running at Broadway's Lyric Theatre (213 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036). The album is out today, March 3, at www.PSClassics.com.

The undie-rock comedy-pop duo of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley (The Skivvies), will kick off their 42West monthly residency this spring with an all-star line up of guest artists from the worlds of Broadway, Television and Film.
