Broadway actress Bianca Marroquin (In the Heights, Chicago) is pleased to announce details for 'To Mexico From New York with Love,' a one-night-only benefit concert on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 (8 p.m.) at the Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street).

British stage vet Rhydian Roberts has revealed on BBC Radio that SONDHEIM ON SONDEHIM, which concluded its limited engagement on Broadway on June 27, 2010, will be playing the West End beginning in October. While visiting Richard Bacon's program last week to promote the new stage production of WAR OF THE WORLDS in which he will be appearing, Roberts explained: 'I'm due to go into a Sondheim show in the West End in October...SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM. This news is allegedly confirmed by Maria Friedman, according to the official Stephen Sondheim Society website.

PS Classics will ship online orders of the original cast recording of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM beginning on August 10, while the album will not be generally released until August 31.

While there, Mitchell talked about all of his current slate of projects. Among them, Mitchell has just redone the opening number of LOVE NEVER DIES, featuring bearded ladies and other 'freaks' with a new song while making other trims throughout the show. The highly-anticipated CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will have a reading next week with 'amazing' new material and the same leads that played the show from Seattle (Kerry Butler, Norbert Leo Butz, Aaoron Tveit and Tom Wopat). The chorus has been expanded from 4 girls to 10 amongst other changes. The show is prepping for January rehearsals for a Broadway bow. Mitchell also just directed a reading of BALLROOM with Tyne Daly that he is directing and developing for a hopeful 2011 production.

Jim Caruso announced that Tom Wopat will return to the Birdland stage on Monday, May 31 at 7pm. This concert is part of the Broadway at Birdland series, which highlights performers and composers from the Great White Way.

Tony-nominated actor Tom Wopat will present a solo concert at Birdland Jazz Club on May 31. Wopat can currently be seen on Broadway in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM.
