Two Glasgow drama pupils had a visit from the cast of Grease earlier today.

Dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as Danny and Sandy fall in love all over again. It's the original high-school musical, featuring all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You're The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy, Greased Lightnin' and many more.

Birmingham Hippodrome - the UK's most visited theatre - has today announced full details of its new season.  From the best of the West End to the biggest names in international ballet, opera and contemporary dance, 2017/18 will once again see a world-class programme of live entertainment on the Hippodrome's famous stage.

Grease is the word! The hit 70s musical returns in 2017 for a UK tour, opening in Manchester on 10 March 2017. Casting for the tour includes Tom Parker (The Wanted) who makes his musical theatre debut playing Danny Zuko, Danielle Hope (Over the Rainbow winner) who plays Sandy, and Louisa Lytton (Strictly Come Dancing, EastEnders) who plays Rizzo.

???????Grease is the word! Glaswegian star Gary Lamont (River City) joins the cast of Grease for two weeks only to play the role of Teen Angel. Gary will take on the role during the tour's dates at the King's Theatre, Glasgow, 9-20 May 2017.

CMT's new Thursday night block of music dramas is off to a strong start, attracting more than six million viewers for a powerful episode of “Nashville” and the highly-anticipated premiere of “Sun Records,” to notch the most watched night of CMT originals in the channel's history. The successful premieres come on the heels of overall ratings growth. Original premieres on CMT are pacing up 46% among A 18-49 and 73% among W 18-49 versus year ago. Total day ratings are up 27% with A 18-49 and 31% with W 18-49.

The original West End production of the electrifying musical, Grease, lights up the UK once again as it embarks on a national tour, opening at the Palace Theatre Manchester on Friday 10 March 2017. The all-new scripted series based on the Tony Award(R)-winning musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET will join 'Nashville' to complete CMT's new Thursday line-up. 

Tom Parker rose to fame as a member of band The Wanted. He's now taking on his first theatrical role, starring as Danny Zuko in the UK tour of musical Grease, along with Danielle Hope, Louise Lytton and Darren Day. The tour kicks off in Manchester in March 2017.
