The Stella Adler Studio of Acting was named a winner in Chase Bank's Facebook election, 'Chase Community Giving,' to name the top 100 charities in the United States. Each winner was awarded a $25,000 prize towards their programming.

60 years ago, the Stella Adler Studio opened its doors. Today, it is the most prestigious acting studio in the world. As part of its mission to give back to the community, the Studio has been providing free actor training - through the Outreach Division - to New York's inner city students who could not otherwise afford to go to the premiere school.

The production is about an assimilated Jewish family in 1958, suburban Connecticut whose lives are turned upside down when the father is passed over for a promotion because of their Judaism.
