Broadway's Idina Menzel will be performing the National Anthem and giving a pre-game concert at Target Field, site of the Major League Baseball's All-Star Game in Minneapolis, Minnesota today.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) just announced the U.S. premiere of the new musical, AMERICAN PSYCHO, featuring a book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (2ST's Good Boys and True, 'Glee,' Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark), music and lyrics by Grammy and Tony-Award Winner Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), directed by Rupert Goold (Broadway's Macbeth with Patrick Stewart, ENRON). AMERICAN PSYCHO is based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis.

Next to Normal will play one weekend only, Friday July 11, Today July 12 and Sunday July 13th 2014 at The Merc in Temecula, California. Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director of the National Music Theater Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, will conduct a public symposium on orchestrating musical theater in today's world on Thursday, July 3 at 1:00pm. The Orchestration Symposium comes as the summer conference continues its focus on exploration and role of orchestration and arranging in the development of new work.

Idina Menzel, LaChanze, Jenn Colella and the company of Broadway's If/Then just celebrated a special milestone at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
