A special industry 'by-invitation-only' staged reading of the new Broadway-bound play COFFEE STAINS will be presented tonight, May 20th at the award-winning Colony Theatre in Burbank, Calif. The reading will be directed by acclaimed Ovation Award winning director Jenny Sullivan (The Geffen, Pasadena Playhouse, Laguna Playhouse, Williamstown, Lucille Lortell, The Rubicon, Ensemble Theater of Santa Barbara, The Falcon).

The Public Theater announced today that Kevin Kline will reprise his Tony Award-winning role of The Pirate King with Glenn Close as Ruth, Eric Idle as the Sergeant, and Martin Short as Major-General Stanley in the one-night-only concert performance of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE for The Public's annual gala. Co-chaired by Sir Howard Stringer, Arielle Tepper Madover, and Renee Beaumont, this unforgettable summer evening will also honor the late Nora Ephron who was a long-time board member and consummate lover of The Public's Shakespeare in the Park.

Just under a week until Halloween, Bayou City Theatrics kicks off their inaugural season with Richard O'Brien's cult-favorite, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. While audiences at the Toyota Center waited for the original material girl to take the stage, Bayou City Theatrics channeled 80s inspired glam pop-punk fashions with their own breed of material girls (and boys) and treated their audience to a fresh rendition of the classic show.

The classic film Rocky Horror Picture Show will be shown at Hershey Theatre on Friday, October 26 at 11:59 PM (Midnight). This 1975 cult classic film stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Richard O'Brien, and Meat Loaf. For fullest enjoyment of the film, a limited number of audience participation bags will be available for purchase.

In 2006 (I think... my mind is a little fuzzy), I had the privilege to be part of the original cast of "Don't Quit Your Night Job"-- an all Broadway Improv show. The show was created by Sarah Saltzberg, Steve Rosen, and David Rossmer. (PS - go see Steve and David in "The Other Josh Cohen" which starts previews Wed at the SoHo playhouse) all of them comedic gold. Now... it may seem like I'm milking my friends here, but I wouldn't post it if it wasn't true! Anyhow, I always had a fantasy of writing a sketch for the show involving David Hyde Pierce and Brian d'Arcy James. Why? Let me finish...
