La Jolla Playhouse announces the latest presentation in its acclaimed Without Walls (WoW) series, THE GRIFT at the Lafayette Hotel, a world-premiere, immersive theatre piece, conceived, written and directed by Diabolical Muse's Tom Salamon, creator of the Playhouse's wildly-successful WoW production of Accomplice: San Diego. Paper Mill Playhouse has announced the full cast for its production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (which first played to rave reviews in La Jolla). Inspired by the classic Victor Hugo novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame has a book by Peter Parnell, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is directed by Scott Schwartz and choreographed by Chase Brock. (more...)

The Des Moines Community Playhouse presents 'The Mitten,' Friday, Feb. 13. This story is the latest in the 2014-15 Friday Funday season, a creative participatory story theatre program for children ages 4-6. Performances are at the Playhouse, Friday, Feb. 13, at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 1:30 PM. Shows are approximately 45 minutes in length. Admission is $6 per person, adults and children. George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced that New Jersey native John Tartaglia, from the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q, as well as TV's Sesame Street and the Emmy Award - nominated Johnny and the Sprites will be appearing in New Brunswick as the sole cast member of Buyer & Cellar, the fourth production of the New Brunswick theatre's current season. Mr. Tartaglia will take the fictional journey to the fictional version of Barbra Streisand's fictional basement beginning March 3 through March 29. Opening night is set for Friday, March 6. This series is an exciting opportunity for emerging and established playwrights to bring the earliest incarnations of their plays directly to the Playhouse on Park audience. The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival 2015 season will feature a slate of top-notch directors, choreographers, musical directors and designers. The flagship theatre, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, will house West Side Story, The Light in the Piazza (Regional Premiere), Saturday Night Fever (US Regional Premiere), Sweeney Todd, the all new The Calamari Sisters' Big Fat Italian Wedding, and the first ever holiday show at the Playhouse -- Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings. The season also brings the hilarious comedy, Late Nite Catechism, downtown to Auburn Public Theater. And for the fourth consecutive year, the new-works series, The PiTCH, returns with new writing teams from all over the country presenting their new musicals in development.
