The 80th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon is being held this afternoon, May 16, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square, where winners will be announced for Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. This year's event, which began at noon, is hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

FAILURE: A LOVE STORY Receives West Coast Premiere at MTC, 6/5-29

To close its 47th Season, Marin Theatre Company will produce the West Coast premiere of Failure: A Love Story by the 'hugely talented Chicago writer' (Chicago Tribune) Philip Dawkins. Directed by MTC's artistic director Jasson Minadakis, this 'enchanted and enchanting' play about love and loss will feature five actors playing multiple characters, using puppets and playing live music both original (by MTC's frequent collaborator Chris Houston, a Berkeley-based composer and musician) and from the era of the play - 1920s Chicago.
Hal Brooks Named Artistic Director of The Pearl's 2014-15 Season

The Pearl Theatre Company has named Hal Brooks as its new Artistic Director, it was announced today by the Board of Trustees. Brooks succeeds J.R. Sullivan, who served as The Pearl's Artistic Director from 2009 to 2013. Kate Farrington, The Pearl's Resident Dramaturg and Artistic Associate, has been Interim Artistic Director since Mr. Sullivan's departure.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long present the New York premiere of The Few, written by Samuel D. Hunter and directed by Davis McCallum, at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place. odman Theatre announces that a new production of The Little Foxes by Lillian Hellman, Tony Award-winning playwright, screenwriter and author and Academy Award nominee, completes its 90th Anniversary 'Season to Celebrate.' Goodman Artistic Associate Henry Wishcamper directs the 1939 classic American Southern drama that 'could not be more timely, as the play's social skewering remains satisfyingly fresh' (Los Angeles Times). The Little Foxes is slated to appear today, May 2 - June 7, 2015 as the fourth production in the 2014/2015 Season, followed by Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which runs June 20 - July 26, 2015.
