PRIMARY STAGES presents The Confession of Lily Dare, written by and starring Charles Busch (The Tribute Artist, You Should Be So Lucky) and directed by Carl Andress (The Divine Sister, The Tribute Artist). Performances began at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) on January 11, 2020, with opening night set for January 29, for a limited run through March 5, 2020.

Primary Stages' production of the world premiere of On That Day in Amsterdam, written by Clarence Coo (Beautiful Province (Belle Province)-a?"Yale Drama Prize) and directed by Kareem Fahmy (3/Fifths) will begin previews on Friday, November 1. PRIMARY STAGES is proud to announce that tickets are now on sale for the first two productions of its 35th Anniversary season. The season will kick off in the fall with the world premiere of On That Day in Amsterdam, written by Clarence Coo (Beautiful Province (Belle Province)-a?'Yale Drama Prize) and directed by Kareem Fahmy (3/Fifths). Performances begin at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) on October 29, 2019, with opening night set for November 19, for a run through December 18, 2019.

Doug Nevin and Michael Urie, in partnership with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater closed out the Pride Plays' festival of play readings commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, with a benefit reading of Terrence McNally's Some Men, helmed by Logan Reed, on June 24 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.

Broadway and TV star Brandon J. Dirden (All the Way, Jitney, The Americans) hosted the 11th annual New York City August Wilson Monologue Competition, sponsored by LEAP (Learning through an Expanded Arts Program, Inc.). A total of 15 LEAP students from nine New York high schools in four boroughs brought the audience to their feet as they embodied Wilson's characters and provided their own interpretations-immersing them in Wilson's world of 10 plays, referred to as The Century Cycle.

DANIEL'S HUSBAND, the acclaimed new play by Michael McKeever, directed by Joe Brancato, will end its commercial Off-Broadway run at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 St.) on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 7pm. It will have played 13 previews and 73 performances.

DANIEL'S HUSBAND, the acclaimed new play by Michael McKeever, directed by Joe Brancato, recently transferred to a commercial open-ended run Off-Broadway at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 St.) will update its performance schedule beginning November 19, 2018.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of India Pale Ale, written by Jaclyn Backhaus and directed by Will Davis, and New York premiere of The Niceties, written by Eleanor Burgess and directed by Kimberly Senior, are now playing their final two weeks of performances. Both plays must close on Sunday, November 18th atMTC's New York City Center - Stage I and Stage II (131 West 55th Street).
