Luke Wilson has joined the DC Universe series Stargirl, according to Deadline. Wilson is set to portray mechanic-turned-superhero Pat Dugan, who pilots Stripe, a hulking 15-foot robot of his own invention.

Dance Magazine has announced that the annual Dance Magazine Awards, the most prestigious awards event in dance, will make the Harkness Foundation for Dance the beneficiary of the proceeds from the event, which will be held Monday, December 4, 2017, at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 W. 55th St.

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects across the country in NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2017. Opera Parallele (OP) has named national non-profit arts leader Debbie Chinn as its new Executive Director, Board of Directors Chairman Robert Rippshas announced. Ms. Chinn comes to Opera Parallele having served as Executive Director of the prestigious Carmel Bach Festival since 2012 and following previous positions at organizations including the San Francisco Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, California Shakespeare Theater (CalShakes) and others.

WAM Theatre is delighted to announce they have recently been the recipients of two substantial grants - an unrestricted grant of $5,000 from the Massachusetts Bankers Association (MBA) Charitable Foundation, and a $2,000 grant from the Dramatist Guild Fund in support of the company's 2017 Fresh Takes play reading series.
