Since 1992, under the rubric of its UNDESIRABLE ELEMENTS series, the beloved Ping Chong + Company has created nearly 50 deeply moving theater productions that give voice to specific communities. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the initiative, the company will offer a festival of these works-including CRY FOR PEACE: VOICES FROM THE CONGO; SECRET SURVIVORS , featuring adult survivors of child sexual abuse; and INSIDE/OUT… VOICES FROM THE DISABILITY COMMUNITY - running from October 18 through November 4 at La MaMa E.T.C.

Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts, located in Westport, is currently registering for the fall term, which begins Monday, September 10. Theater for the New City & Crystal Field (Artistic Director) have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of THE EDEN PROJECT, a new play devised by Stable Cable Lab Co., directed by Seth Hamlin, and choreographed by KC Luce as part of the 3rd annual Dream Up Festival. THE EDEN PROJECT will begin performances tonight, August 24, 2012 at Theater for the New City (155 First Ave. - between 10th & 11th Streets). The production is scheduled to run through September 1st.
