Kevin Covert and Amanda Watkins had what Executive Director of the School of Theatre at Florida State University, Cameron Jackson, called a "reunion catch-up," where the longtime friends and colleagues spoke to students, faculty and staff about their lives since graduating from the School of Theatre.

Music Theatre of Connecticut School of the Performing Arts in Westport will conduct the College Bound in the Performing Arts Seminar, a crash course in performing arts degree programs for high school performers and their parents, today, September 15 at 10am in Westport.

Since 1992, under the rubric of its UNDESIRABLE ELEMENTS series, the beloved Ping Chong + Company has created nearly 50 deeply moving theater productions that give voice to specific communities. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the initiative, the company will offer a festival of these works-including CRY FOR PEACE: VOICES FROM THE CONGO; SECRET SURVIVORS , featuring adult survivors of child sexual abuse; and INSIDE/OUT… VOICES FROM THE DISABILITY COMMUNITY - running from October 18 through November 4 at La MaMa E.T.C.

Singer/songwriter ANDY GRAMMER premiered his new music video for "Miss Me" onVH1's "Top 20" weekly video countdown this past weekend. World Harmony Productions announced today the artist line-up for the ONE WORLD CONCERT-a historic celebration of peace, music and common ground-coming to the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University on Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Expected to be one of the largest gatherings of international artists ever to travel to the region, this special benefit concert immediately follows a public talk by the Dalai Lama and features an original song written and performed by multiple artists, especially for His Holiness.

Opening the 2012/13 season at Irondale is the magnificent, intense and intelligent Butoh Electra created and performed by the highly acclaimed ensemble, The Ume Group, running tonight, August 29 - September 8. Butoh Electra presents Sophocles' Greek revenge tragedy as the story of a woman whose vibrant inner life is corrupted by the world of walking dead in which she lives.

Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts, located in Westport, is currently registering for the fall term, which begins Monday, September 10. MTC offers classes for students ages 4 and up, and is also accepting registration for the student production of the hit musical 'Annie,' which will be performed at the legendary Westport Country Playhouse. Theater for the New City & Crystal Field (Artistic Director) have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of THE EDEN PROJECT, a new play devised by Stable Cable Lab Co., directed by Seth Hamlin, and choreographed by KC Luce as part of the 3rd annual Dream Up Festival. THE EDEN PROJECT will begin performances tonight, August 24, 2012 at Theater for the New City (155 First Ave. - between 10th & 11th Streets). The production is scheduled to run through September 1st.
