Luna Stage will present the World Premiere of THE GROUND ON WHICH WE STAND, a multi-writer, site-specific performance exploring the history and impact of The James Howe House from 1780 to present day. The Howe House is the first property in the Township of Montclair to be owned by an African American and formerly enslaved person, and has been the site of much current controversy.

The production will now feature Brenda Pressley (The Lyons, Almost Home, Seven Guitars), replacing the previously announced Suzzanne Douglas who is withdrawing due to personal reasons.

In this intimate evening, Ortiz will perform songs that have shaped and influenced her music and theater career, as well as favorites from chart-topping divas like Big Mama Thornton, Pat Benetar, Selena, and other groundbreaking women who have inspired her.

Luna Stage and The United Tastes of America (formerly Syria Supper Club) have teamed up to co-host a memorable evening includes a full Syrian dinner and live entertainment on Sunday, March 3, from 6-9pm. This first-ever Luna Dinner is one night only, launching an annual fundraiser and community dinner series. Held at Luna Stage in West Orange, the March 3 event featuring jazz headliner Suzzanne Douglas, and supports both newly immigrated local refugee families and cutting-edge local theatre.
