Seattle Public Theater (SPT) is proud to host The Hats We Wear: A Night of One-Acts, a series of plays exploring the different paths we take in life and where they might lead us. This play festival is produced by S3 Productions, a trio of high-school students from SPT's youth ensemble.

Profiles Theatre Artistic Directors Darrell W. Cox and Joe Jahraus announce the 25th Anniversary Season featuring a full slate of new and challenging works premiering at the Profiles Theatre Complex on North Broadway. The upcoming season features six productions including the Midwest premieres of Wrecks by Neil LaBute, the award-winning play Cock by Mike Bartlett, Hunter Gatherers by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, In God's Hat by Rhett Rossi and Gidion's Knot by Johnna Adams. Additionally, Profiles acclaimed production of Hellcab by Will Kern, one of Chicago theatre's longest running hits, returns for the holiday season. These six productions alternate between Profiles' two venues, The Main Stage at 4139 N. Broadway and The Alley Stage at 4147 N. Broadway.

Naked Angels, the eclectic downtown theater company that recently partnered with the New School for Drama under the leadership of Naked Angels founding company member Pippin Parker, is pleased to announce that New School alumna Liz Carlson will assume the role of Artistic Director of Naked Angels beginning May 1, 2013, further enhancing the relationship between the two companies. Current Artistic Director Andy Donald, who succeeded Geoffrey Nauffts in July 2011 after two years as Associate Artistic Director, departs the company for a new position as a creative producer at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

SPT will present the Seattle Premiere of 2009 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize Winner Julia Cho's The Language Archive running May 17-June 9, 2013 at the historic Bathhouse Theater on Green Lake.

Yellow Sound Label's world premiere recording of MURDER BALLAD, the critically acclaimed new musical by Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash, directed by Trip Cullman, will be released on Tuesday, May 28. According to the Daily Mail, Honeysuckle Weeks, Charity Wakefield and Alec Newman will star in Melanie Marnich's These Shining Lives, set to kick off the first season at the Park Theatre in Finsbury Park. Loveday Ingram will direct the show from May 8, with designs by Tim Shortall. The show runs through June 9, 2013.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today eight plays to be developed at the 2013 National Playwrights Conference (NPC).

Guthrie Director Joe Dowling today announced 12 mainstage productions of the theater's 2013-2014 season. The theater's 51st season includes first-time Guthrie productions of playwrights Beth Henley and Nina Raine, classics on the Wurtele Thrust Stage directed by Dowling and Marion McClinton, WorldStage Series presentations of returning companies Kneehigh Theatre and Out of Joint, as well as a summertime slate of a beloved musical and a Christopher Durang comedy that is currently a Broadway hit.

For its upcoming 2013-14 season Seattle Public Theater (SPT) invites audiences to unearth a keepsake box full of gems that examine and celebrate class, chaos theory…and cupcakes. Four plays, Broke-ology, American Wee-Pie, Gidion's Knot, and Arcadia, plays that look deeply into history, legacy, and the things we hold dear.

MURDER BALLAD, the new musical that enjoyed an acclaimed, sold-out engagement at Manhattan Theatre Club's The Studio at Stage II, will transfer to the Union Square Theatre (100 East 17th Street) this spring for a strictly limited nine week engagement, featuring three of the critically acclaimed cast members from the MTC run of the musical: John Ellison Conlee, Rebecca Naomi Jones, and Will Swenson. They will be joined by Caissie Levy who will play the role of 'Sara.'

To conclude its 45th season, Berkeley Repertory Theatre welcomes back a pair of acclaimed collaborators: Sarah Ruhl and Les Waters, the creators of Eurydice, Three Sisters, and In the Next Room (or the vibrator play), return to Berkeley Rep with another tale of love and longing in Dear Elizabeth.

Signal Ensemble Theatre ends their Tenth Anniversary 2012-2013 Season with their final production, the Chicago premiere of Lascivious Something, at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 West Berenice Ave. Lascivious Something is written by Sheila Callaghan and is directed by Signal Ensemble member and Co-Artistic Director Ronan Marra.

Acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons has announced initial details for its 2013 special online Auction in connection with its annual Spring Gala. Bidding for the auction, which will feature an eclectic array of items and unique opportunities, begins Friday March 29 at 10AM at www.biddingforgood/playwrightshorizons. Signal Ensemble Theatre ends their Tenth Anniversary 2012-2013 Season with their final production, the Chicago premiere of Lascivious Something, at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 West Berenice Ave. Lascivious Something is written by Sheila Callaghan and is directed by Signal Ensemble member and Co-Artistic Director Ronan Marra. Performances will regularly run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Preview performances are on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 at 8 p.m., followed by opening/press night on Saturday, May 4 at 8 p.m. Regular ticket prices are $20 for single tickets, $15 for industry/students/seniors/groups and $10 for previews. Berkeley's Aurora Theatre Company has announced the lineup for its 22nd season. The company opens the season with the highly-anticipated Bay Area Premiere of Obie-winning playwright Amy Herzog's AFTER THE REVOLUTION, directed by Joy Carlin.
