The Tony Award-winning musical COME FROM AWAY is celebrating one year and over 400 performances on Broadway! Junkyard Dog Productions announces today a new block of tickets on sale for the Tony Award-winning smash hit Broadway musical COME FROM AWAY for performances through Sunday, February 24, 2019.

This year's Broadway Belts for PFF!, hosted by Broadway's Julie Halston, will be an even bigger celebration as Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman bring together members of the original Broadway cast of Hairspray to celebrate its 'Sweet 16.' The HairspraySweet 16 segment will honor Margo Lion, a lead producer on the original production, for her theatrical career and her support for Broadway Belts for PFF! and the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF). Memphis' original Broadway cast members Tony nominee Chad Kimball (Come From Away), Cass Morgan (The Bridges of Madison County), and J. Bernard Calloway (All The Way) came together for 54 SINGS MEMPHIS, a one night only concert at Feinstein's/54 Below last night, February 4th.

Hosted by the one-and-only actress/comedienne Julie Halston, BROADWAY BELTS FOR PFF! will celebrate its eighth annual fundraiser, featuring Broadway stars in an evening of music and comedy benefitting the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. This year's event will take place on Monday, March 12 at 5:30 pm at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) in New York City. On Tuesday, December 5th, Broadway Backstory podcast released their episode about the making of COME FROM AWAY. COME FROM AWAY is the hit 2017 musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hine that tells the true story of what happened when 7,000 stranger were stranded in Gander, New Foundland in the wake of the September 11, 2011 attacks. Broadway Backstory, a documentary-style podcast that finds out how a show develops from an idea to a full production, charts the show's journey from a college workshop to it's out of town tryouts, to a concert event in Gander, and ultimately to Broadway.

The Central Academy of Drama (CAD) attended a Broadway to China Symposium in New York City and Chicago. The goal of the trip was to promote organizational innovation through multilateral exchanges and cooperation with the world's leading drama educational and professional theater institutions. The Central Academy of Drama is known as one of the best drama and stage arts institutions in China, training students for placement in arts organizations across the globe. It is their belief that to train students for international placement, the faculty must be knowledgeable of state of the art practices across the map.
