Join the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Forever Plaid!

I've been chasing the geeky quartet known as The Plaids since 1994. Fortunately, they make frequent appearances in Richmond.

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??The Drama League has announced the 2020 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much- coveted Distinguished Performance Award.

Centenary Stage Company's will kick off its 2020 Summer Musical Theatre Series with Forever Plaid. The production runs July 9 through July 19 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Ave. Hackettstown, NJ.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, as part of its 50th Anniversary season celebration, will present two added special events during the month of March: York Chat: Musicals in Mufti: 118 and Counting, the second in a series of panel discussions, _An Evening with Sheldon Harnick and Friends_ a special concert featuring Sheldon Harnick, Liz Callaway, and Karen Ziemba. Both special events will take place at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

From January 17th until February 9th, Stagecrafters is putting on a production of the 1989 off-Broadway musical, Forever Plaid. Forever Plaid is a beloved story that takes you back in time on what Music Theatre International calls a 'goofy, 1950s nostalgia trip.'

MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced the cast and creative team for Forever Plaid, the first show of its 2020 season. Written by Stuart Ross and widely considered the original jukebox musical, Forever Plaid is one of the most popular and successful musicals ever written. This deliciously fun revue is full of classic harmonies, pitch-perfect melodies, and 1950s nostalgia.

West Coast Players will present Forever Plaid by Stuart Ross, directed by Ashlie Timberlake with musical direction by Donna Grabill, by special arrangement with Music Theatre International, January 24-February 9, 2020 at West Coast Players, 21905 US 19 North, near the corner of Drew St. and US 19 N.

 Rubicon Theatre audiences are invited to “rejoice and be plaid” this holiday season as Ventura's non-profit professional theatre company presents the hilarious and heartwarming musical comedy PLAID TIDINGS, which begins previews December 11 and continues through December 29 at the theatre's home in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. The production is directed by the original creator STUART ROSS, a beloved member of the New York and L.A. theatre community whose vast credits include Broadway and work with Manhattan Theatre Club, Radio City Music Hall, the Public Theatre, York Theatre, San Diego's Old Globe, and Pasadena Playhouse, where PLAID TIDINGS originally premiered.
