Kicking off the month on January 1st is the 1945 musical comedy film Ziegfeld Follies, featuring Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Fanny Brice, Lena Horne and more. The How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying film, based on the musical of the same name, is set to debut on January 4th.

Award winning stage star John Owen-Jones (Les Miserables/Phantom) will release the album November 19, complete with some traditional Christmas tracks, some personal favourites and two brand new Christmas songs.

From Any Dream Will Do to a dream come true, Lee Mead took to the London Palladium stage for one night only, to celebrate his 40th birthday and his twenty-year career. Mead talked of walking past the theatre as a boy and his joy at being able to hold his own concert there.

Producers announced today an open casting call in key cities around the country as part of a worldwide search for the title character Jesus in the upcoming 50th Anniversary tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. The North American presentation of Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's production launches in the fall of 2019 following their critically acclaimed, sold out engagements in UK and won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.

As it prepares to celebrate its second birthday in the West End, Disney's Aladdin announces today that fourteen new cast members will be joining the company. Matthew Croke will continue to star in the title role, having joined the company in June 2017, opposite original London cast members Jade Ewen (Jasmine) and Trevor Dion Nicholas (Genie). New cast members include Fred Johanson as Jafar and Julian Capolei as Omar. Original cast member Jermaine Woods will play Iago, having previously covered the role.

Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera that tells the story of the final week in the life of Jesus Christ. It begins with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ends with the crucifixion. It also highlights the political and interpersonal struggles between Jesus and one of his 12 apostles, Judas Iscariot that are not present in the Bible narratives.
