This popular and highly-anticipated program of The Public Theater's winter season will include artists from across the U.S. and around the world, including Belgium, Canada, Chile, France, Japan, and Rwanda. Curated by Co-Directors Mark Russell and Meiyin Wang, this year's UNDER THE RADAR will also launch a new series, Under the Radar + Joe's Pub: In Concert, which highlights artists who are working at the intersection of music and theater. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients for the latest round of Global Connections. Supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, this grant program encourages reciprocity and cultural exchange through ON the ROAD grants to foster new relationships with international colleagues and IN the LAB grants to further pre-existing international collaborations. Now in its fourth year, this round of the Global Connections program awarded a total of $33,045 to seven projects through ON the ROAD and a total of $30,000 to three projects through IN the LAB, with over $400,000 awarded to date. On view from November 4, 2014 through April 6, 2015, the exhibition focuses on work emanating from a number of key cities that serve as cultural hubs for some of the most pertinent new ideas about art, design, and craft.
