The national tour of ONCE, the 2012 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical, roars into the Boston Opera House with a baker's dozen cast of talented actor/musicians under the direction of Tony Award-winner John Tiffany. Based on the motion picture, the autobiographical story of musicians Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova captures the glorious intensity of one week that changed both of their lives forever with the help of friends, family, love, and music.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of John Patrick Shanley's OUTSIDE MULLINGAR, directed by Doug Hughes, will begin performances tonight, January 3 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). This strictly limited 11 week engagement will open Thursday, January 23.

All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. Based on Robert Louis Stevenson's 'The Suicide Club' and featuring beloved characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Jeffrey Hatcher (Mrs. Mannerly, 2010) crafts a smart new Sherlock Holmes mystery. Having played Sherlock Holmes in The Crucifer of Blood (2009) and Sherlock Holmes (2003), Alley Theatre Company Artist Todd Waite will again play the iconic and illustrious detective in a spectacular, lavish production. The premise of the play is that a teacher has committed suicide in her own classroom, a horror the children discover returning from recess. A substitute teacher is hired to take her place, and is expected to help them cope with their loss by pretending everything is normal.
