Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research raised $2.8 million at Angel Ball hosted by co-founders, songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter.  Angel Ball made its return to Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, after hosting a virtual event in 2020 and a Hamptons fundraiser in 2021.

The best of Broadway was at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Thursday, where The Piano Lesson, directed by Tony Award nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson and starring Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, and Danielle Brooks, opened on Broadway. ABC News announced today the new Hulu Original “Behind The Table: A View Reunion,” which takes viewers inside the hotel room at the Essex House hotel in New York City where current and original co-host Joy Behar, the show’s first moderator Meredith Vieira and original panelists Star Jones and Debbie Matenopoulos auditioned 25 years ago.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today the first-ever behind-the-scenes primetime special “OWN: Presents: Inside WACO's Wearable Art Gala” to premiere exclusively on OWN on Tuesday, June 11 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The star-studded annual event created by WACO (Where Art Can Occur) co-founders Tina Knowles Lawson and Richard Lawson is marking its third year by paying tribute to four honorees who have made significant impact on the world through their art, philanthropy, and entrepreneurial spirit, including creator Tyler Perry (“The Haves and the Have Nots”). The special is executive produced by Steve Jones through Brand Maverick entertainment company.

Last night in New York, Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research hosted the Angel Ball 2018 which raises money for blood cancer research.  The gala, which took place at Cipriani Wall Street, honored Dottie Herman, Douglas Elliman CEO; Monte Lipman, Founder and Chairman of Republic Records, Avery Lipman, Founder and President of Republic Records; and Harvey Spevak, Executive Chairman & Managing Partner, Equinox. 

Pacific Symphony won't save the best for last in the opening of the 2018-19 Pops season with the sensational entertainment star Vanessa Williams. Led by Pops conductor, Richard Kaufman, the Symphony joins Williams to celebrate her career for two nights at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, with a program of her icon hits such as "That's Entertainment," "Dreamin'," "Love Is Love," and "Save the Best for Last." The Symphony will also play the Hollywood themes from the film scores of "Splash," "The Producers," "Young Frankenstein," "Blazing Saddles," "Animal House and Airplane."
