The performance can be seen at Arts Centre Melbourne's State Theatre season from 2 - 10 January 2016. 

The latest international touring production of the film-to-stage adaptation of SINGIN' IN RAIN, produced by Stage Entertainment and Chichester Festival Theatre, opened at the Theatre at Solaire Resort and Casino (ASEANA Avenue, Paranaque, Manila) last August 20 and will run through September 13.

BACHARACH REIMAGINED has been refashioned into CLOSE TO YOU: BACHARACH REIMAGINED, set to run at the Criterion Theatre beginning October 3, 2015. The Daily Mail writes that the show, directed by Oliver Award-winner Steven Hoggett, will once again star Kyle Riabko.

Schon in Edmond Rostands romantisch-komodiantischem Versdrama Cyrano de Bergerac aus dem Jahr 1897 verbanden sich das Musketier-Sujet und das Thema der Überwindung von Komplexen als notwendige Zutat fur die große Liebe zu einer aktionsgeladenen und zugleich beruhrenden Geschichte voll Esprit und Poesie. In der Musicalfassung der hollandischen Autoren Koen und Ad van Dijk aus dem Jahr 1992 gelangte diese Geschichte mit Musik im Stil von Claude-Michel Schonbergs Les Miserables und Anklangen an Andrew Lloyd Webbers Phantom der Oper erfolgreich an den Broadway. Nun erobert dieses Musical uber vermeintliche Helden und einen großen Poeten, ihre Komplexe und Versagensangste die Bielefelder Stadttheaterbuhne. Die Premiere findet am 6. September statt, weitere Vorstellungen laufen bis Marz 2016.

Stage Entertainment has appointed former Endemol head Just Spee as the company's new CEO. Ronald van Wechem will also join Stage Entertainment, taking a position on the Board of Directors as Chief Operations Officer. With their arrival on 1 September, there will be a reorganisation of portfolios within the Board of Directors, with Peter O'Keeffe taking on responsibilities as Chief Content Officer. The fourth member of the Board of Directors is Rob Groot, who has been Chief Financial Officer since 2014.

Die Musik schrieb einer der prominentesten italienischen Komponisten, Dario Farina - vielen bekannt durch seine Kult-PopSongs wie Felicita oder durch seine viel beachteten Filmmusiken (Rossini).

Die Nominierungen für den ersten Deutschen Musical Theater Preis 2015 wurden heute bekannt gegeben. Der Deutsche Musical Theater Preis ist der einzige Musical-Preis im deutschsprachigen Raum, der von Musicalprofis an Musicalprofis verliehen wird. Alle deutschsprachigen Musical-Uraufführungen, die vom 15. August 2014 bis 14. August 2015 Premiere feierten und für mindestens zehn Vorstellungen gespielt werden, konnten nominiert werden. Im September 2015 wählen die Mitglieder der Deutschen Musical Akademie e.V. und die Jury aus den Nominierungen die Gewinnerinnen und Gewinner des Deutschen Musical Theater Preises 2015.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company, in partnership with the University of Memphis' Department of Theatre & Dance, presents its third and final developing musical reading on the University of Memphis mainstage with The Oliver Experiment by Jeremy Desmon and Jeff Thomson tonight, August 15 at 7:00 pm.

After much success on Broadway and in the West End, Willemijn Verkaik returns to the stage in Germany and will take on a principle character in the Disney Musical TARZAN. She is going to play the ape mother "Kala". "The role of Kala is not only a vocal and an acting challenge, but also a physical one. I will, like all other apes, literally fly above the audiences. Something like that doesn't happen in any other musical, and that's what makes TARZAN unique", so the excited Willemijn Verkaik. Rehearsals are already underway; her premiere at the Stage Apollo Theater in Stuttgart, Germany is planned for August 21.

The Phantom of the Opera is not only the longest running musical in Broadway history, but also one of the most successful shows internationally. In 2010, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber premiered a sequel of the musical London's West End with such stars as Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo. LOVE NEVER DIES, which has since successfully played in Australia (where it was filmed and released on DVD), Denmark and Japan, and will tour in the US in 2017, is now coming to the stage in Germany. Following the celebrated success of the return of Phantom of The Opera last year, Stage Entertainment will produce the fascinating sequel this fall. The show will begin preview at the Stage Operettenhaus in in Hamburg on October 8, with an official opening set for October 16.

Mit der Besetzung von Startenor Gardar Thor Cortes (41) in der Titelrolle des Phantoms in und der ausgebildete Opernsangerin Rachel Anne Moore (30) in Rolle in der Christine steht nun das Cast von LIEBE STIRBT NIE - PHANTOM II fest. Die Produktion wird am 15. Oktober im Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg Deutschlandpremiere feiern. 

Auch am Wochenende wird im Stage Theater in Stuttgart fleißig gearbeitet. Fur Willemijn Verkaik sind die Proben derzeit voll im Gang, bevor sie Ende August dann als Affenmutter Kala im DISNEY MUSICAL TARZAN auf der Buhne stehen wird.

Of her role in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, Bethany Dickson says, 'Kathy Selden is ambitious, full of sunshine and positivity! To stay true to the character, that's my mission - that the character maintains that feisty, bubbly ambition that Debbie Reynolds portrayed in the movie.'
