Wareham and Hershey Felder Presents are thrilled to announce the fourth show in the Laguna Playhouse 2015-2016 season, Tony Award-winner Anthony Crivello and Vanessa Claire Stewart starring in LOUIS & KEELY: 'LIVE' AT THE SAHARA, written by Vanessa Stewart, Taylor Hackford & Jake Broder, choreography by Vernel Bagneris and directed by Taylor Hackford.  "Our subscribers and audiences are about the have the time of their lives as we transport them to 1950's Las Vegas and beyond and the incomparable song-stylings of Louis Prima and Keely Smith," says Wareham. LOUIS & KEELY: 'LIVE' AT THE SAHARA will begin previews on Wednesday, February 24; will open on Saturday, February 27 and will run through Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach. Anaheim's official resident theater company, Chance Theater is delighted to present the irreverent and uproariously silly The Stinky Cheese Man and other fairly stupid tales as the first production of its 2016 Theater for Young Audiences season. Performances will begin February 25 and continue through March 6 on the Fyda-Mar Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center. The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces a new partnership with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and DreamWorks Studios to present the highly successful annual program, The ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Workshop. Now in its 23rd year under the leadership of Artistic Director Stephen Schwartz, the workshop -- giving selected composers and lyricists the opportunity to present selections from original musical works in progress for professional critique -- will take place at The Wallis in Beverly Hills from Feb. 16-18, 2016, with submissions now being accepted. Three performances of Part I (comprised of Mednick's Tirade For Three, Gary's Walk and Girl on a Bed) will be presented on December 4th, 5th and 6th at the Skylight Theatre in Los Angeles, paving the way for a full production of the entire octet in 2016.
