Laguna Playhouse has announced its annual holiday sensation returns and chestnuts will be roasting on an open fire with THE SKIVVIES: I TOUCH MY ELF. THE SKIVVIES: I TOUCH MY ELF will perform two performances only - Monday, December 16 & Tuesday, December 17 at 7:30pm at Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

Laguna Playhouse Artistic Director Ann E. Wareham and Executive Director Ellen Richard are thrilled to announce the final cast and creative team to join acclaimed film, TV and theatre veterans Frances Fisher (“Titanic,” Native Gardens, Barbeque), as “Queen Eleanor” and Gregory Harrison (“Trapper John, M.D.,” Broadway's Chicago, Steel Pier), as “King Henry II” in THE LION IN WINTER, written by James Goldman and directed by Sheldon Epps.

Actor Burt Grinstead gained recognition in Los Angeles for his terrific performance in Deathtrap at LGBTQ and later in The Rope at Actors Co-op. He formed his own production company and produced and co-starred in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, which he also adapted with his partner Anna Stromberg. They won top prize at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2018. Grinstead is currently preparing to open as Richard the Lionheart in The Lion in Winter at Laguna Playhouse this Sunday November 10. In our conversation he talks about the play in depth and lays bare his passion for the acting profession.

 Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the Indiana premiere of American Idiot opening tonight, June 4, 2015 on the Livia and Steve Russell Stage. This production runs through July 5, 2015, with Bryan Fonseca serving as director, Emily Ristine Holloway serving as Assistant Director, Tim Brickley and Jeanne Bowling serving as co-Musical Directors, and Cherri Jaffee and Mariel Greenlee serving as co-choreographers.

Goodman Theatre's acclaimed production of CANDIDE, directed and newly adapted by Mary Zimmerman, must close Sunday, October 31 at 2pm. Tickets are still available for the final seven performances, October 26 - October 31.

Due to high demand for tickets, Goodman Theatre extends Mary Zimmerman's much-anticipated revival of Leonard Bernstein's enduring masterpiece, Candide by one week. Performances now run September 17 - October 31, 2010.
