THE SONG OF EDDIE KING, a modern day Oedipus, will be presented as a reading by FRIENDS ALWAYS CREATING (FACT) THEATRE as part of a benefit evening being held tonight, May 20th at 7:00PM at Roy Arias Theatre, 300 West 43rd Street. The evening will consist of an hour long reading of the new play, an auction and raffle and wine and a talk back with the author of the play, Jamesai Schempp.

Variety reports exclusively that Scarlett Johansson has signed on to Jon Favreau's upcoming film CHEF. The actress joins previously announced cast members Robert Downey Jr., Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo and Bobby Cannavale.

On tonight's episode of ABC's MODERN FAMILY titled "My Hero", Mitch's ex-boyfriend, Teddy, a very personable and successful doctor, invites the whole family to a fundraising event at the local roller rink, and they all run circles around each other as Cam tries to play it cool around Teddy. Tim Drucker (writer - Fat Camp, Spider Musical) and Tracy Weiler (actress - theatre: Fat Camp; film: Fugly with John Leguizamo) wrote a pilot called Hot Fail. The half-hour comedy stars Noah Weisberg (theatre: Elf, South Pacific, Legally Blonde; TV- The New Normal, Modern Family) and many other theater-related actors.
