British actor and filmmaker Alan Rickman has passed away at the age of 69.

The Rose Theatre Kingston today announces its full spring season with an array of the finest drama, children's theatre, comedy and music.

Gamut Theatre Group's Harrisburg Shakespeare Company (HSC) opens Anton Chekhov's The Seagull on March 12, 2016 on the Select Medical Mainstage at the New Gamut Theatre located at 15 N. 4^th Street in downtown Harrisburg. The box office and bar will open at 6:30 p.m. and the play will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the performance are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors/military, and $15 for students and can be purchased in advance at www.GamutTheatre.org. Following the performance, a reception will be held where guests can meet and mingle with the cast and crew while enjoying refreshments. Tickets to the opening night reception are sold separately.

UP Comedy Club (230 W North Ave, 3rd Floor of Piper's Alley) announces the return of #DateMe: An OkCupid Experiment, created by Robyn Lynne Norris and written by Robyn Lynne Norris, Bob Ladewig and Frank Caeti. Previews begin Thursday, February 4 through Sunday, February 21 with performances running through Sunday, May 29.

Rehearsals recently began for Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's PERICLES directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors. PERICLES begins previews February 14 for an opening February 25. It is scheduled to run through March 27. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the company in rehearsal below!

Theatre for a New Audience will present a live taping of the podcast Person Place Thing with host Randy Cohen interviewing internationally acclaimed director Trevor Nunn on Sunday, January 24, at 7:00pm at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place.  Tickets are $15 for the general public and $12 for Theatre for a New Audience subscribers.

As the first production of their 15th Anniversary Season, Rising Sun Performance Company is pleased to announce that they will be presenting the World Premiere of SPRUCEHAVEN B, directed by Rising Sun's Artistic Director Akia, as part of the 10th Annual FRIGID Festival. Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) continues its 56th season with Sarah Ruhl's insightful comedy, The Clean House, directed by former Woman's Will Artistic Director Erin Merritt in her CCCT debut. The Clean House plays from February 12 through March 6; performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm at the theatre.

Cutting Ball Theater continues its 17th season with the World Premiere of ONDINE by Katharine Sherman. Cutting Ball founding Artistic Director Rob Melrose helms this beautifully tragic dream, featuring Molly Benson, Marilet Martinez, Danielle O'Hare, Kenny Toll, and Jessica Waldman. ONDINE plays February 5 through March 6 (press opening: February 11) at the Cutting Ball Theater in residence at EXIT on Taylor (277 Taylor Street) in San Francisco. Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, presents the first production in the Theatre's new home, Arcadia by Tom Stoppard, directed by Michael Halberstam. The show runs March 16 - April 24, 2016 at the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre in Writer Theatre's new theater center at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m.
