The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Department of Dance (CCM Dance) opens its 50th Anniversary Season with a demanding and impressive Fall Dance Concert tonight, Nov. 16, and tomorrow, Nov. 17, in Corbett Auditorium.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the national tour of Flashdance-The Musical from December 25, 2013 to January 19, 2014 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. Directed and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, Memphis, The Addams Family), Flashdance-The Musical features a book by Robert Cary and Tom Hedley (co-writer of the original screenplay with Joe Eszterhas) with music by Robbie Roth and lyrics by Robert Cary and Robbie Roth. Press opening night is Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.

(Oct. 23, 2013) – Tickets for Kansas City Ballet's 41st annual production of The Nutcracker,presented at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, went on sale at 9:00 a.m., October 21. The production, featuring the choreography of Todd Bolender, returns for 18 public performances and three matinees for schools. This two-act ballet continues to delight audiences with its magnificent sets, costumes and special effects. Three casts of Kansas City Ballet dancers and the new KCB II, plus more than 175 local youngsters ages 7 to 22 selected from Kansas City Ballet School, will perform E.T.A. Hoffman's story.

Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch announced touring plans for both the professional company and Houston Ballet II, the second company, for the 2013-2014 season today. During Mr. Welch's tenth anniversary as artistic director, touring engagements will take Houston Ballet to New York City, Paris, Montreal, and Chicago.
