Roundabout Theatre Company's NOISES OFF opened last night, January 14, 2016, for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 6, 2016, on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway, and BroadwayWorld was there to capture the night. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Sucker Love productions will bring FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS to the stage in 2016. The LA-based company announced that Scott Porter, who played Jason Street in the TV series, will lead the cast as Coach Taylor. THE UNAUTHORIZED FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS MUSICAL will feature original songs.

Backstage at the Lincoln, the Lincoln Theatre's intimate, local concert series, has scheduled three events for the fall. For the first time, one of the scheduled events will be a theatre production flanked by two jazz concerts. The Backstage at the Lincoln series offers concertgoers the extraordinary opportunity to be seated on stage with a featured local artist, providing an up-close-and-personal performance set against the hand-painted grandeur of the Lincoln's rare Egyptian Revival-style motif.

Premiering Thursday, July 16 from 11-11:30PM ET/PT, the series kicks off the network's new weekly, 11PM late-night programming hour, which also includes the new original series, Reactor.

After four seasons, The CW has canceled its Rachel Bilson medical drama HART OF DIXIE, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

ALTAR BOYZ opened Off-Broadway at Stage 4 of Dodger Stages on March 1, 2005. The award-winning, hit musical comedy closed after 2,032 regular performances on January 10, 2010. For two very special performances at 54 Below on March 1, 2015, actors who played the now iconic fictional Christian boy band took to the stage to celebrate the show's 10th anniversary with pizzazz, wit, and a whole lot of harmonizing.

According to Deadline, the network has officially pulled the plug on THE CARRIE DIARIES, and freshman series STAR-CROSSED and THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, all of which have struggled in the ratings over the course of their season. 'CARRIE' was nearly cancelled last year, after its freshman run, though strong showings in digital playback kept it in place at the network.
