Theatre Aspen announced that tickets are on sale for the first annual Aspen Theatre Festival, held at the Hurst Theatre during the final week of the summer, on August 25th and 28th. The Agent and Finn the Fearless are the two new works being developed as part of the organization's new festival. Tickets range from $20-30 and can be purchased at www.theatreaspen.org.

Theatre Aspen announced casting for the organization's upcoming slate of repertory shows, which includes CABARET, Peter and the Starcatcher, Junie B Jones the Musical and Other Desert Cities.

The organization's 32nd season will be extended by two weeks this summer.  The Hurst Theatre opens with the groundbreaking revival version of the musical CABARET, running in repertory with Other Desert Cities, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Junie B. Jones The Musical.  Following the regular season, the theatre recently announced the launch of the Aspen Theatre Festival, featuring new plays and musicals being developed for the stage.  The festival takes place the week of August 23rd - 28th.

Ryan Landry and the Gold Dust Orphans mash-up THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and the politics of oil and the Middle East in their latest side-splitting musical, THOROUGHLY MUSLIM MILLIE. Scott Martino's to-die-for costumes and scenic design aesthetic are on display, along with a cast made up of long-time favorites and fresh talent, singing and dancing to a batch of borrowed musical theater gems. ZACH Theatre kicks off the new year with Peter and the Starcatcher on January 29, 2015. The five-time Tony Award-winning play runs until March 1, 2015 at the Topfer Theatre. The play is written by Rick Elise and based upon the novel of the same name by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. ZACH Theatre will have Director Michael Baron, Artistic Director of Oklahoma City's Lyric Theatre, back for his first time since directing the critically acclaimed Spring Awakening here in 2011.

After their smash, sold-out, critically-acclaimed New York debut last season with Mildred Fierce - hailed as "blissfully over the top" in a rave review from The New York Times - the company returns with another filthy, flirty, fabulous parody. Snow White and the Seven Bottoms, starring drag legend Varla Jean Merman, is written by Ryan Landry and directed by James P. Bryne. The show had a hit run in Boston this spring and is currently running through September 14 in Provincetown.
