The New Year begins with Cape Symphony's festive tradition on January 1, 2023 at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center, with the orchestra and guest vocalists taking on a wide range of favorite songs from multiple genres.

The 29 Hour Venture (co-founded by Chad Austin and JV Mercanti) will be developing a new play, The Reset by Ed Clark, for an industry reading to be presented on January 21st, 2023. The piece will be helmed by Mercanti.

The Kitchen will present GRIEF, the first New York institutional solo exhibition of work by celebrated composer, pianist, vocalist, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist Samora Pinderhughes.

Patti Murin and Colin Donnell have just released their first joint album! Titled Something Stupid after the 1967 Carson and Gaile song, the album is available to purchase now. In this video, the couple checks in with Richard Ridge to talk all about putting it together!

The annual Rob Mathes Holiday Concert is back live and in-person this year at The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College. Two shows will be presented on Friday, December 16, and Saturday, December 17, at 8:00 p.m.

Concord Theatricals announced the launch of its new record label, Concord Theatricals Recordings. The label will be the home to many of the finest cast albums and theater artist recordings, including Concord Theatricals’ previous releases with Concord’s Craft Recordings label.

The video for Live at Grand Central has been digitized, converted to HD and re-edited, while the audio has been re-mixed by multi-Grammy Award winning producer and engineer Frank Filipetti. The concert will be available on Blu-ray, CD, vinyl and digital streaming platforms via MRI/Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment.

Conceived during lockdown, Murin and Donnell engineered their own vocals for the record from their newly formed home studio. Lyrics and Lyricists will present MISS: Broadway’s Women Songwriters on December 10, 11 and 12, celebrating Broadway’s long history of women songwriters and their indelible work, in a show conceived, co-written and co-hosted by two-time Tony nominee Kate Baldwin and award-winning composer-lyricist Georgia Stitt.
