Today Hot Water Music release their new EP Shake The Shadows on Epitaph. Shake Up The Shadows sees the band – guitarist/vocalists Chuck Ragan and Chris Wollard, bassist Jason Black and drummer George Rebelo – crafting some of the most impassioned music of their career. Recorded at Black Bear Studios in Gainesville, with the band's live sound person Ryan Williams (who also produced their 2017 full-length Light It Up), Shake Up The Shadows is a truly collaborative effort despite the fact that member Ragan is currently based in California where he owns a fly fishing operation. The Gateway theatre company's thrilling production of Flashdance, The Musical, is truly an electric way to end their busy Summer season. The sensational regional premiere, running through September 15th at the Patchogue Theatre, is excellently directed by Keith Andrews and boasts an absolutely superb cast. And though it is based on the famous 1983 movie, fans of the movie (like myself!) will notice several changes and will be pleasantly pleased in the stage incarnation.

As previously announced, Long Island native Julia Macchio stars in The Gateway's production of Flashdance - The Musical from August 31 throughSeptember 15 at Patchogue Theatre (previews begin August 29).

New faces, including Broadway veterans and even an American Idol contestant, join returning favorites to perform in Alpine Theatre Project's 2018 Broadway Summer Season. This summer, rock fans across the country should prepare to be rocked hard when the GODSMACK/SHINEDOWN co-headlining summer tour hits more than 30 cities. The stories are from Lucia Berlin's posthumously published, critically acclaimed, A Manual for Cleaning Women featuring the stories 'Her First Detox', 'Emergency Room Notebook 1977', 'Unmanageable', '502' and 'Here It Is Saturday'. Directed by Nancy Shelby and JoAnne Winter, Lucia Berlin:Stories is set to an evocative jazz score by Marcus Shelby, and illuminated with vibrant projections by Naomie Kremer.
