Directed by Rob Epstein (HBO's Oscar-winning 'Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt') and Jeffrey Friedman (HBO's Emmy-winning 'The Celluloid Closet'), and executive produced by iconic New York fashion designer and amfAR chairman Kenneth Cole, THE BATTLE OF AMFAR tells the story of the unlikely pairing of these extraordinary women, who came together to fight the disease. To mark World AIDS Day, the thought-provoking documentary had a sneak peak yesterday, DEC. 1 (3:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO2, followed by its prime-time debut tonight, MONDAY, DEC. 2 (9:00-9:45 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

HBO Documentary Films is currently in production on a film telling the story of the historic Supreme Court case that overturned Proposition 8, California's ban on same-sex marriage, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. Over the last five years, directors Ben Cotner and Ryan White have had exclusive access to the work of the powerhouse legal team led by Ted Olson and David Boies, as well as the lives of the four plaintiffs in the case. The untitled feature will be completed by the end of this year for debut on the network in 2014.

Outside The Box proudly announces today the official schedule for its free nine day summer performing arts festival on Boston Common and City Hall Plaza (July 13-21). The inaugural festival will kick off at noon on Saturday July 13th on Boston Common with a special performance by the Boston Children's Chorus followed by Los Lonely Boys and Los Lobos. Festival headliners Buffalo Tom, The Lemonheads and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones will perform live on Boston Common on Saturday July 20th beginning at 5pm.
