Broadway's record-breaking, star-studded smash hit comedy It's Only a Play by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, will welcome two new stars on January 7, 2015. Martin Short takes over for Nathan Lane as 'James Wicker', and two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning '30 Rock' alum Maulik Pancholy- in his Broadway debut-will assume the roles of 'Julia Budder' and 'Frank Finger', respectively. Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Broadway's record-breaking, star-studded smash hit comedy It's Only a Play by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, will welcome two new stars. Beginning January 7, 2015, two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning "30 Rock" alum Maulik Pancholy-in his Broadway debut-will assume the roles of 'Julia Budder' and 'Frank Finger', respectively.

LOGO TV today announced that Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth is slated to perform a song from her live CD Coming Home on the Logo TV's 2014 'New Now Next' Awards premiering on LOGO TV on Sunday, December 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and MTV on December 12 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Actor and singer Darren Criss will host the event, which kicks off Art Basel from Kimpton's Surfcomber Miami, South Beach, and serves as the definitive farewell party for 2014 and predictor to who and what will dominate pop culture in the year to come. Pop icon Cyndi Lauper will narrate the New Now Next Awards, which will also feature special appearances by Nick Cannon, Tyler Glenn, 'Looking' stars Raul Castillo & Frankie Alvarez, 'Girl Code's' Nicole Byer, 'Awkward's' Molly Tarlov, as well as 'Faking It's' Katie Stevens and Michael J. Willett.

Matthew Broderick Signs on for IT'S ONLY A PLAY's Extended Broadway Run

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Tony® Award winner Matthew Broderick has extended his contract with Broadway's smash hit It's Only A Play. Originally scheduled to appear in the production through its original closing date of January 4th, Broderick will continue to star in the production through its new end date on March 29, 2015. Broderick currently stars in the production opposite Nathan Lane, who exits on January 4th for a previously scheduled professional commitment. Beginning January 7th, Broderick will headline It's Only A Play opposite the previously-announced Martin Short.

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Broadway's record-breaking, star-studded smash hit It's Only a Play by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, will extend, and with a new star: Tony and Emmy Award winner Martin Short will assume the role of 'James Wicker' originated by Nathan Lane, who departs January 4th to prepare for his upcoming performance in director Robert Falls' production of The Iceman Cometh at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2015.

The star-studded Broadway production of the backstage comedy It's Only A Play, by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, is officially set to run through January 4 at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), but could it stick around a little longer? As first rumored on BroadwayWorld.com's message board, and then picked up elsewhere as news, rumors are flying around the rialto today that the show might transfer to the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre when THE AUDIENCE moves into the Schoenfeld early next year.
